The popular group was initially scheduled to round up its ongoing programme with a show in Johannesburg, but managing director of the ensemble, Moki Ncube, told The Zimbabwean they had added a number of cities to the schedule.
“Our tour was supposed to end next Friday (September 9) but we have decided to perform up to month end after our followers from various parts of South Africa showed an interest in our shows. As such, we will perform at places such as Alexandra, Musina and Tembisa,” he said in an interview in Johannesburg.
Moki’s Connection has already performed in front of capacity crowds in Diepsloot and Hillbrow, north of Johannesburg, where they strut their stuff alongside upcoming acts as Chauke and Malalume Express.
The group, which hails from Plumtree, is touring South Africa for the first time in more than three years. Johannesburg-based Livingway Music Promotions are organising the tour.
The Ndazi Ndazi chart-toppers have a huge following among Zimbabwean nationals based in South Africa. Meanwhile, Ncube revealed they were working on a new DVD production that will be released before the end of the year.
“We have not yet given it a title but it would is the third DVD project after Best of Moki’s Connection and The Very Best of Moki’s Connection,” he added.
