According to the table released ahead of the weekend, the cricket mother body said the impressive performances of the players had enhanced their standing on the table.
Bowlers Chris Mpofu, Kyle Jarvis, off-spinner Greg Lamb and Ray Price made significant movements up the bowlers’ rankings table released from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates where the ICC is headquartered.
Mpofu moved up four places to 66th spot while left-arm spinner Price was rewarded for his four wickets in the match with a leap of 31 places which has put him in 70th spot, Kyle Jarvis is in 78th spot after his 2-96 and off-spinner Greg Lamb, who took 3-120 in the first innings, has entered in 30th position.
Sensational batsman Mawoyo is ranked at 64th having moved 59 places up the ladder while former skipper Tatenda Taibu is now 84th, 28 places up the rungs.
There was no good news, however, for captain and batsman Brendan Taylor, who fell 36 places down to 94th.
Test-cricket returning Zimbabwe lost the one-off series against Pakistan by seven wickets. The overall performance by the Southern African side was a far cry from the one against another Asian team, Bangladesh that saw Zimbabwe win a test series on its return to that version of the game.
