United States Counselor for Public Affairs at the US Embassy in Harare, Sharon Hudson Dean, said her government was sponsoring the 10 female scribes attending the annual event.
"The Public Affairs Sector (PAS) is proud to take a delegation of 10 Zimbabwean female journalists to attend the Annual Highway Africa Media Conference in Cape Town, South Africa, from September 16 to 19," Hudson Dean said.
"This year's theme is ; "African Media and The Global Sustainability Challenge".
She said the event would be attended by high level local and international speakers, feature many exhibits and have book launches.
The female journalists were chosen from various cities and towns in Zimbabwe.
