Karanda died at Chitungwiza General Hospital on Sunday after a short illness. Two weeks at the MDC 12th anniversary celebrations at Gwanzura Stadium, Karanda was given an award for his continued and unwavering support of the MDC. Mourners are gathered at 7770 Mupamharopa Rd, Budiriro 4 in Harare. Karanda is survived by his wife Precious and four children.
Meanwhile, the High Court has postponed for the second time in a week the bail application by MDC member Mrs Kerina Dewa after the State failed to file its response to the judge. The application will now be heard tomorrow. Mrs Dewa, 56, is facing trumped-up charges of murdering a police officer in Glen View in May. She is currently detained at Chikurubi Maximum Prison.
