Eight dismissed workers, including the water superintendent, Sherperd Shungira, Sweden (Revenue Officer) and Tigere (Revenue Officer) were represented by their respective workers’ unions, but lost the case.
“There was no way the culprits could have won the case as they admitted wrong doing. Even if they had hired legal representation from the moon, they would still lose the case. This was a clear fraud case,” said the council Chairperson, Dominic Matangira.
The council workers were found guilty of defrauding the council of $8 000.
