Kim Stambuli, Intersectional Communications Officer for MSF, said the music project would involve the production of a CD, book, documentary and website with songs from HIV support groups from Bulawayo and rural Tsholotsho.
"This project is meant to bestow international visibility on the reality of HIV and AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa," said Stambuli.
Renowned Zimbabwean artists like Oliver Mtukudzi and Chiwoniso Maraire are participating in the initiative.
MSF is treating over 34 000 AIDS patients, including children and teenagers. Stambuli said that music would be used to educate people about the virus and break the stigma that is attached to it.
