He died on the spot after the car he was driving hit an electricity pole and he was thrown out the window.
The MDC said Chikadaya was one of the founding members of the party. He started his political career in his rural home in Wedza, then rose to be the Mashonaland East Provincial Chairman, then elected at the second National congress as the Youth National Deputy Organising Secretary where he was working alongside Thamsanga Mahlangu, Amos Chibaya, Solo Madzore, Somerai, Dropa, Ndira among others. At the 3rd National Congress in May last year in Bulawayo, he was then elected National Organising Secretary.
"The party has lost one of the best and skillful grassroots mobiliser. He was a bulldozer, dedicated and loyal cadre. A Natural Organiser," says a statement.
People are gathered at No 1600 Murape road, Horton Park, Harare.
Burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
