Tsvangirai, who toured projects conducted by the local MP Arnold Sululu said investigations into how each legislator used the $50 000 facility must be thoroughly done.
During an assessment exercise conducted in the province by officials from the Parliamentary Affairs ministry, two Zanu (PF) MPs, Kizitho Chivamba
(Chiundura) and Josphat Madubeko (Lower Gweru) were implicated in the abuse of the CDF facility. PM Tsvangirai also challenged MPs who have been on record as saying the CDF was inadequate.
“Those MPs who say the CDF was not enough should first show us how they used the money they did have,” he said.
