Arrested WOZA women go missing

Nine Bulawayo members of Women of Zimbabwe Arise were arrested on Monday night and held in custody at three different police stations. They were nabbed during WOZA’s on-going occupy and demand the draft constitution campaign.

Vigilant Lunga, Violet Dube, Theresa Phiri, Catherine Dhliwayo, Eunice Moyo, Mpikelelo Moyo and Sibongile Lumbiles spent the night at Western Commonage police station and were denied food.

Some of the messages painted on the road read: Fire Chihuri (the partisan police commissioner); devolution for development; we want separation of powers and we want education.

Miriam Ngcebetsha and Ottilia Dube were arrested in Matshobana. At the time of going to press their whereabouts were not known and the WOZA support team was going to every police station looking for them.
