Section 4.5 allows for the imposition of the death penalty on a person convicted of murder, but exempts all women, men under 21 years and those over 70 years of age. It should be abolished fully – regardless of gender and the circumstances in which a crime is committed. Abolish death penalty
EDITROR - I would like to side with Amnesty International strongly in their call that we should remove the death penalty entirely from the new draft constitution.
