Mathias Julius promises fire works

Rising Reggae star Mathias ‘Matty’ Julius says his career is alive and well despite his relocation to the United Kingdom. In an interview from his London base, Matty said he was busy in the studio making new tunes. “My fans should brace for some hit songs,” he said.

Over the years he has stamped his authority in the music industry by unleashing well received songs such as Don’t look back, Here I Come and hit single Pahushamwari Hwedu – a collaboration with others in the reggae scene including Mannex Motsi, Lady Thanda, Kalabash, Cello Culture, Mary Motsi, Chaza, J.Farai, and Lady Squanda. He also produced the hit song Twenty ten (2010), which he collaborated with Oliver Mtukudzi, and was dedicated to Tuku’s late son.

Mathias music is about social awareness, life, advice, respect, love and compassion. He started his artistic career in the 1990s, when he joined the renowned Tumbuka Dance Company.
