Zim/SA duo’s debut album a hit

South African Mlungisi Mkhwanazi and Matobo-born singer Quiet Ncube have released an eight tracked wedding album entitled ‘iThemba lami’ - my hope.

The album is already enjoying airplay across South Africa through the hit Shona song ‘Eriya waenda’.

Other numbers include Ngivulele, Marry me, Nguwe, Shameleni, Uwele la, Sonqoba and dancing step instrumental. Recorded at the Nation Studios, all songs highlight life in marriage and the challenges couples encounter in their daily lives.

Mkhwanazi told The Zimbabwean that this album comes with hope of encouraging couples to stay focused oin their marriages.

“When we released this album we had lovers at heart. We give hope to couples from the day they exchange their vows through our wedding music. That is how we want to contribute to societies in Southern Africa,” he said.

“It pleases me to see that what we produce always receive great embracing. I am very grateful to the support the album is receiving from radios stations across the country and on street corners,” he said.

Early this year Ncube also released his solo album ‘Sihambi Khuthala’, which is still enjoying airplay after selling platinum.
