Though details were sketchy, The Zimbabwean gathered that Muguti was arrested last week by Gokwe police who accused him of a hit and run.
In an interview, Muguti’s lawyer, Reginald Chidawanyika, said he is still establishing the finer details of the charges but was quick to describe them as fabricated. “We have applied for bail at the Bulawayo High Court and Judge Misheck Cheda is expected to deliver his ruling on that matter this week,” said lawyer Chidawanyika.
