Zimbabwe, once in the World Group,
now lie in the lowly Africa Zone Group Three, where they have been stuck for years.

Tennis Zimbabwe administrator, Cliff Nhokwara, revealed that the Black siblings, were actively involved in the association’s development programmes, aimed at building a strong future Zimbabwe team.

“Wayne is always in this office and sometimes coaches the teams we pick for international competitions,” said Nhokwara.

Nhokwara, who has been with Tennis Zimbabwe for some time, said Byron contributed immensely to the sport by donating equipment and material sourced abroad.

“Tennis equipment, including shoes, is not readily available in Zimbabwe and Byron has donated some of this equipment for our players.”

Cara has also been involved in talent identification through a series of coaching clinics.

Nhokwara admitted that it would not be easy to return to the World Group
but said the country would gradually try to make it back there.
