Pridemore Mudzudzu is reported to have vanished at the airport as the band was about to fly home.
The band manager Filda Muchabaiwa said: “Yes it’s true; we no longer have Pride. He remained in UK. We were shocked to realise that he was not there in the plane and knew that he had sneaked away. But we are not worried, as the band has other alternatives who are jostling to fill that gap.”
She however revealed that all was not rosy for Pridemore who had already asked to be readmitted back after realizing the going is tough over there.
This is not the first time local band members have remained behind after touring the UK. Alick Macheso lost three band members in one of his early UK tours while Tongai Moyo also lost three in his maiden tour. The dancehall duo of Major E and Booker T never returned after their performance.
