“Watching me perform at live shows, one would be forgiven for mistaking me for my father. My voice and body gestures resemble those of the late legendary Kenneth. I have brought back vivid memories of the legacy left by my father in the musical industry,” said Ian.
The youth plans to copy his father’s popular ‘traditional’ hits until music fans acknowledge him as a musician in his own right.
“At present, the music revolves around my father’s most popular hits such as Musango ndodzungayira, Zvamunorewa, Ndine urombo, Sisi Dhori and Chigodora vayimbire among others. I mix them with my own products. My musical compositions are mainly about love and social harmony. I am a peace loving person and would like to preach just that.”
Kenneth Chigodora passed on at Marondera General Hospital in 2006 after a short illness.
