The 10-track album “Harder than a Rock” features songs such as Chauya Chigiyo, Harder than a Rock, Moses, Mweya Mutsvene, Ndomene, Panyika, Varoyi neMbavha, VangaVakarara, Tinokuyeuka and Vanodanana.
The band regrouped in 2011 with only three original members, Steven Lunga, Madison and Isaac Phiri, to make up the eight-member piece.
Madison, who doubles as the band Manager, said: “We promise our fans a rock solid album that carries the traditional Chigiyo sound. The album is lyrically and instrumentally rich.”
He added: “We were supposed to have released the album during the festive season but our studio (Diamond Studios) was under pressure from other bands. Our producer then advised us to release the album in January.”
Madison did not rule out the possibility of complementing videos since “our contract with Diamond Studios provides for that”.
The dreadlocked musician said they are planning to relocate to Harare for marketing reasons.
