
Composed of eight tracks, the album is designed to urge youths to register to vote and inspire them to fight for a democratic society.
Project co-ordinator Mambo Rusere said: “Music is the glue that cements the society. If we are to get more youths registering to vote, then let us give them more music. Youth loves music as it motivates, inspire, encourage, inform and entertain them.”
Tracks featured in the album include songs like Zimure, Tongai Navamwe, Ndakanga Ndabaiwa, Handizi, Hatidi Mhondi, Kundovhota, Makorokoto and Tavakuenda.
Whistle for Freedom is the new kid in protest music, which has been on the rise in the last few decades with names like MP Paul Madzore, Francis Chikunguru, Dread Reckless, The Change Initiated Operations, Sister Fearless and Raymond Majongwe, among other artists.
