From the terraces

Chicken Inn

Well done Chicken Inn for lifting the Net-One Charity Shield. Keep up the momentum. Let us dedicate this season to Adam and perform to our best. Let’s bring the league championship to the City of Kings. – Lenny Mhlanga, Bulawayo.

Dynamos

Tunisia is our next destination. Let’s keep our focus boys and make sure that we keep cruising in the Champions League. We need to practice more and make sure that we have enough firearms to conquer the battle of Africa. – Daniel Muperi, Borrowdale.

There is need for board members to behave like professionals. We have the talent at Dynamos and it is high time we stop complaining about unfair treatment from CAF referees.

We must learn to fight our battles on the pitch. It is obvious that the referees’ decisions are never reversed, so it is up to us to step-up our game in such a manner that they will be embarrassed to treat us unfairly. – Tawanda Mupepeti.

Takesure Chinyama will rule the ABSA premiership and show how good Dynamos products are. All upcoming footballers should know that to be great, they need to play for DeMbare. If you can’t beat them, join them. Washington Phakamisa accepted that and now he is shining with the glamour. – Luke Tapesana, Warren Park.

I will hate it if DeMbare dominates the league again this year. It is unfortunate Caps United seems to be crumbling and Highlanders don’t seem to be as strong as they were last season. I don’t see any potential threats to Dynamos, but I will keep supporting any team that plays against them. – Ian Mupakose, Chitungwiza.

Caps United

A loss is always a bitter pill to swallow, but making it into the finals of the Charity Shield last weekend gave me confidence that the Green Machine is here to stay. Nothing can ever pull us down. All the players who took their dismissal as a blessing in disguise will realise that it is the worst thing that has ever happened to them. – Wilfred Jamba, Kwekwe.

That we did not lift the Charity Shield does not matter, only the cash prize we received from the sponsors does. – Edward Datambi, Marondera.
