Speaking to scores of MDC-T supporters at Chancery House, Minister Biti emphasised that the only needed weapon for total democracy was a simple vote.
“Your votes are a vital weapon. Let’s deliver a knock-out blow to Zanu (PF) and its masters. The party provincial leadership is available to assist those who want to go home to register,” he said.
Biti added that the Diaspora vote was crucial. “We are counting on your votes for a better Zimbabwe. Please don’t let the country down,” added Biti.
SA Youth Provincial chairperson, Giyani Dube, also challenged young people not to give up the fight for a free and democratic Zimbabwe.
“Most of us grew up in foreign lands and it is high time we correct these wrongs. Let us fight for what belongs to us; let’s all work towards removing Zanu (PF) by going to register to vote,” said Dube. SA Provincial Women’s Assembly leader, Thembi Sibanda, urged women to mobilise their husbands and children.
