Written and directed by Patrick Sibanda of Livingway Promotions, the film aims to expose the sufferings due to economic, social and political injustices that causes people to skip borders to seek greener pastures in South Africa.

“We did our research and discovered some shocking things. Families back home always assume that their relatives successfully made it to SA unaware that some did not – and lost their lives to dangerous Amagumaguma and crocodiles in the Limpopo River. We reveal how those who do arrive suffer at the hands of police and soldiers in the promised land,” said Sibanda.

“We need the world to stop the continued human rights abuses of our desperate people as they try to seek better lives in SA. We will protest through arts until things get better,” added Sibanda.

IThemba leSizwe Arts group (Hope of the Nation) has also performed at various South African government forums and theatrical performances. Sibanda is also known for co-producing the hit drama ‘Double Standards’ staged in theatres throughout South Africa.
