The Dzivarasekwa constituency, which is currently held by Evelyn Masaiti, has been reserved for female candidates.
“I am positively affected by this development considering that I am not confined to being a Member of Parliament alone. There are other government posts that I can occupy and serve the people of Zimbabwe,” said Solomon Madzore.
He said his quest to be a Member of Parliament had ended and he was not going to contest in any other constituency.
“I am here to serve Zimbabweans and this should not get personal in any way,” he said.
MDC-T Bulawayo provincial Chairperson, Gorden Moyo, was also affected by the recent National Council resolution as he wanted to stand in Makokoba, which was won by Thokozani Khupe, deputy party president.
