Tafirenyika, who has enjoyed a number of endorsements in South Africa since he took up professional modelling a few years ago, told The Zimbabwean early this week that the movie was released last week in his homeland and South Africa, where he is based.
“The movie has received a good response from the viewers,” said the man who also stars as Coaster, the main character in the movie.
“We have a team of actors in Zimbabwe who will be selling. Our aim is to make sure that everyone gets a chance to watch it, apart from trying to make sure that piracy does not affect us, we also want to make it affordable to everyone. All those who want to get copies of the movie can join our Facebook page ‘I will Marry Myself’, where we update them on the latest activities and where to get copies,” he said.
Tafirenyika co-stars with South African Lillian Tshabalala, who stars as Shelter, the female lead character, and Spiwe Show, a former top model. The story is about an African girl who was so desperate for marriage that she ended up paying for her own bride price in order to fulfill her dream of being a wife.
