There are millionaires who cannot even help the various branches with t-shirt donations or pamphlets. These men and women have successful businesses, some are in the party structures and some are on the sidelines watching. A donation of 100 T-shirts or 10,000 A6 leaflets would cost about as much as a coke would cost you and me.
However, it is not all doom and gloom. We at Diepsloot branch have managed to print our own pamphlets and we have embarked on a voter registration drive. It is quite humbling to see people donate just R2 every week and contribute their time and effort. Every one does this for free, at a cost to themselves.
It is time to change how we do things as Zimbabweans. A true freedom fighter does not do it for a pension or a payout. – Brett, Johannesburg
