How Mine here to stay

How Mine goalkeeper’s coach, Themba Sibanda, believes the club will emulate, or even surpass the exploits of fellow Bulawayo side, Chicken Inn in their debut season in the PSL.

The former Railstars and Amazulu goalkeeper urged the predominantly Highlanders fans in Matabeleland to rally behind all the clubs in the region.

“Chicken Inn managed to remain focused and now they are one of the most feared teams in the league, causing problems for the big clubs,” he said.

“We are also following in their footsteps and need fans to always come in their numbers in our matches for it to be easier. This region needs more PSL teams and that can only be achieved if football followers unite and support football, not just one team. We are on the right track and should we maintain this form, only the sky is the limit.”

From their first 10 matches, How Mine won six, drew two and lost two to amass 20 points that put them in third spot on the log.

Their biggest victory so far could have been the 2-1 victory over Highlanders in the Bulawayo Derby last weekend.
