Hwange still rebuilding : Dube

Hwange football club spokesman Burzil Dube says says panic buttons should not be pressed as the coaches were still trying to rebuild the team.

“We are still on a rebuilding exercise, after we recently promoted six juniors and usually this brings about some changes in performance,” said Dube. “In the long run, this will benefit both the club and the country, as these youngsters are future national players. Believe me, most of these players are strikers with amazing skills and given enough time, they will gel into the team and begin banging in goals that will take us back to the top.”

He was confident that they would also start winning trophies as well. “We have a reliable goalkeeper in Timothy Sibanda and rock-steady defender, David Koriwondo as some of our seasoned players that will help guide the young players as we march back to our glory days of old.”

Some of the junior players who were promoted are Prichard Mphelele, Tafara Chese and Gabriel Mwemba.
