The Warriors left Harare very early Saturday morning and are only expected in Conakry after 8pm the same day, only 24 hours before the game that is to be played Sunday evening, leaving them with no time to feel the match turf.
The Warriors are also understood to have sacrificed team manager Shariff Mussa, goalkeepers' coach Nkululeko Dhlamini, and kit mananger Joshua Khumalo who have not travelled with the team as a cost saving measure.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that more players and officials have also failed to travel to Guinea for the match which is crucial to Guinea's continued fight for a berth at the World Cup finals.
What is disturbing is the fact that Zifa officials have not been forthcoming in clarfying what is excatly is going on with Zifa Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Mashingaidze said to be in countless meetings and messages left for him have not been returned.
Initially, the Zimbabwe national team had been supposed to leave on Thursday afternoon, only for the trip to be postponed to Friday and later to Saturday morning.
This type of planning has not gone down well with the Zimbabwe football loving public who have asked the whole Zifa board to resign contending that they knew long back that the team was supoosed to travel to Guinea only to try to source the funds at the last minute.
The secretary general of the Zimbabwe National Soccer Supporters Association Fortune Bwoni sums up the mood within the football fraternity. " This Zifa has failed. If they cannot properly organise for a team to travel for one match, how can we can entrust them with running the whole game of football," says Bwoni.
Coincidentally, it is under the same Zifa adminsitration that the Zimbabwe Under 20 and Under 23 teams failed to fullfil their Africa Youth Championships return legs against Mozambique and Angola respectively resulting in the teams being thrown out of the competitions.
Although the game against Guinea is of no significance to the Warriors as they are out of the running for a place at the World Cup finals, failure to fulfill the encounter would have resulted in heavy sanctions from Fifa which would have included a heavy fine and possible ban from international football.
Zimbabwe are rock bottom in their group with only one point from four games while Guinea are second on seven points from the same number of games and want a win to keep pressure on leaders Egypt who have 12 points. The Egyptians play Mozambique who on their part have two points.
Never since Zimbabwe's admission to international football in 1980 have the Warriors found themselves in a position of one point after four games and questions have and are being raised as to what exactly is going on with the national team which at one time was ninth in Africa but is now out of the top 20.

I used to visit good blogs to learn and to educate myself. I am actually updating myself with new terms and concepts. It becomes habit of mine and it is helping me in my projects and assignments. Sometimes I asked essay writers online to help me in writing by giving them all research work I did for it. Thanks.
