I am still a dictator, but vote for me, says Mugabe – Let's punish him!

Action speaks louder than words.

While trying to survive, Mugabe has, in actual fact, portrayed his ugly side at a time he should have displayed more positive behavior to win the hearts and minds of the electorate. By failing to abide by the new constitution of the Republic of Zimbabwe which required him to consult his partners in the coalition government for an agreement to be reached on an election date before proclamation, and by usurping the responsibility of The Parliament of Zimbabwe to unilaterally pass amendments to the Electoral Act without going through parliament, the message he has sent to the Zimbabwean electorate is that:

"I am still the same Mugabe who unleashed Gukurahundi on the people of Zimbabwe. I am still the same Mugabe who caused operation Murambatsvina which left thousands of Zimbabweans. I am still the same Mugabe who selectively caused the deaths of many white Zimbabweans farmers, sparing those that support me like Joshua Sacho who I want to reward with a parliamentary seat. I am still the same Mugabe whose actions caused the worst hunger experienced in Zimbabwe 's living memory in 2008. I am still the same Mugabe, and I am capable of doing worse suffering that what you have experienced under my rule. Vote for me again, and I will ensure Zanu PF officials will continue to loot the wealth of Zimbabwe while the marjority of Zimbabweans suffer. I am still the same Mugabe who has watched my party officials loot, ignoring tips from my friend, Thabo Mbeki, who gave me some tips about my ministers who were seeking bribes from the South African government".

Is that what we want, my fellow Zimbabweans? To suffer worse than we did in 2008? We have the power to stop this by voting this dictator away. That power lies in our pen, which we should use wisely on 31 July 2013. All you Zimbabwean out there, let me tell you, there can be no leader who is capable of matching Mugabe's brutality to the peace loving people of Zimbabwe . The only person you should not vote for is Robert Mugabe. All other candidates contesting in this election are better than Mugabe in all respects.

But the dictator is cunning. Even though he has lost support, he is trying various machinations to entrench himself in power, to impose himself upon us. But we have already been warned by Priscilla Misihairambwi who said if pro-democracy forces did not “pull up their socks”, or remained divided, it would provide a “priceless gift — like manna — for those in Zanu PF who are bent on reversing the gains realized during the transitional period.” (http://www.dailynews.co.zw/articles/2013/02/13/june-deadline-for-constitution-committee). Let us, as Zimbabweans tired of Mugabe, rally behind one man who has the biggest chance of dethroning Mugabe, Morgan Richard Tsvangirai. If we do not do that, Mugabe will win, and a few months after he wins, will pass on the button stick to a more cruel dictator, a ruthless murder whose name is already being floated as the heir on facebook by some Zanu PF supporters. We must choose a President who we know, not someone who will be imposed on us by old Mugabe. Whether you are Zanu PF, any of the MDCs, Mavambo, Zanu Ndonga or any other party, let us forget about our partisan differences and make out vote count against Mugabe, the causer of all the suffering Zimbabwe has gone through since 1980.
