PSL Round-up

The Warriors’ new-found striker, Tendai Ndoro, returns into the domestic scene from the Cosafa Cup in Zambia with a mission to help Chicken Inn redeem lost form.

Ndoro, who seems to have won the heart of coach Klaus Dieter Pagels, was on target when the country’s youthful squad scored a brace as Zimbabwe beat Lesotho 2-1 in the semi-final match of the Cosafa Cup last week. While Ndoro did duty with the national side, his fast foods teammate lost 3-2 to Black Mambas in Harare, in a match where the towering striker was clearly missed. He will be expected to spring the side back to winning ways when they meet city rivals How Mine at the weekend.

Chicken Inn go into the game fifth on the log with 31 points seven ahead of the gold miners. Although Ndoro and his teammates are viewed as favourites ahead of the game, beating How Mine will not be easy, as Highlanders can testify.

Defender Hebert Dick has played the best game of his life since he joined the PSL debutants at the beginning of the season and Ndoro could find the going tough against him. Elsewhere, log leaders Harare City will date Tripple B in Beitbridge, while title contenders Highlanders travel to Morris Depot for a clash with Mambas.

Defending champions Dynamos welcome log anchors Motor Action at their favourite hunting ground, Rufaro, while Caps United visit FC Platinum in Zvishavane. Shabanie Mine host Triangle in the same town, while Rhinos make the long trip to face Triangle. Monomotapa will be visiting Hwange at the Colliery.
