Ward 31

On the 30th of July 2013, a village head only identified as Paraffin and his two accomplices Osten Majichi and Nervous held a meeting in ward 31 and threatened villagers. They told villagers that all MDC-T activists who live in the village will be beaten up if ZANU-PF loses the election.

Mutoko

Ward 8

On the 30th of July 2013, two ZANU-PF activists identified as Pardon Nyarugwe and Gunduza held a meeting where they told people that they will all go to vote with their village head. They also went on to say that people will be killed if ZANU-PF loses the election.

Ward 8

On the 30th of July 2013, a ZANU-PF activist identified as Lawrence Buleya held a meeting in Chinomona village where he told people that they should all meet at Chinomona dam at 10:00 hours so that they can all go and vote as a group.

Chegutu West

Ward 4

On the 25th of July 2013, Mrs Gonza intimidated and harassed Linda Mukoma for being an MDC-T polling agent. Gonza was identified as a supporter for Mudimu who is an aspiring independent Member of Parliament.

Gokwe Central

Ward 2

On the 29th of July 2013, a ZANU-PF activist identified as Gwasa intimidated people during his party’s door to door campaign. He was telling people that if ZANU–PF loses the elections there will be war in order to ensure that his party remains in power.

Chipinge South

Ward 28

On the 30th of July 2013, the ZANU-PF Member of Parliament candidate Enock Porusingazi held a meeting in Garahwa village where he told all village heads to use all means necessary to ensure that everyone votes for ZANU-PF.

Ward 14

On the 30th of July 2013, a group of ZANU-PF activists went around the village carrying out door to door threat campaigns. They were telling people that if ZANU-PF loses the elections there will be war in the country.

Ward 3

On the 29th of July 2013, a group of ZANU PF activists were carrying out door to door campaigns where they were forcing people to attend a ZANU-PF rally that was being held at Chinehasha shopping centre.

Ward 26

On the 30th of July 2013, ZANU-PF activists were going around the ward telling people that there is going to be a war post the election period targeting MDC-T activists if ZANU-PF loses the election.

Chinhoyi

Ward 3

On the 26th of July 2013,Theresa Magwenzi who is a nurse at Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital was visited at her workplace by 3 ZANU-PF supporters who threatened her and her family with death. She was threatened because her husband defaulted from ZANU-PF to MDC-T. Magwenzi informed her husband Mr Searchmore Madzudzo who reported the matter to Chemagamba Police station. Following on the 27th of July 2013 at 2am, 4 unidentified people visited Madzudzo’s house with a White Isuzu double cab that did not have vehicle registration plates. They went on to knock on the door but Madzudzo did not open. They then started threatening him stating that they will deal with him accordingly. Madzudzo reported the incident to Chinhoyi Central Police station and the docket’s CRB number is 1843121.

Ward 20

On the 30th of July 2013, Alefa Muyeza an aspiring ZANU-PF councillor forced people to attend meetings at Cleeve farm (next to Chisungala polling station) and Muveya village. At the meeting, ZANU-PF activists were distributing foodstuffs, cups and plates that had ZANU-PF logos. At the meetings, Muyeza threatened to kill all MDC-T polling agents. This forced some MDC polling agents to withdraw from representing their party in the area.

Ward 14

On the 30th of July 2013, the ward chairperson identified as Mr Chizema led a group of ZANU-PF supporters who went to Komiri Farm compound looking for people who were in possession of MDC-T regalia. They then confiscated the t-shirts and asked the farm owner to follow them to Great Gain resettlement area where Chizema resides. The farm owner was threatened with death if ZANU PF loses the elections, he was later released.

Ward 3

On the evening of the 29th of July 2013, a group of ZANU-PF activists went around the ward singing revolutionary songs and threatening people. They were saying that there will be war in the country if ZANU-PF loses the election.

Hurungwe Central

Ward 18

On 30 July 2013, in Magunje village, MDC-T polling agents stationed at Dixie Primary school were barred from going to Dixie shopping centre by unidentified ZANU-PF youths.
