37 turned away at one polling station by 10 in Chinhoyi

By 10 am today, at least 929 people had cast their votes in Chinhoyi’s Ward 8 in the Cold Stream area. But 37 people, 10 of them men and the rest women, were turned away because their names were missing from the voters roll.

Farai Chikore, the Chief Election Agent for Denis Kagonye, an independent candidate, said: “People are confused as they are being turned away even though they have their voter registration slips.’’
