Chitungwiza queue moves fast

"Expectations for patients to come and cast their ballot at Ward 3's Chitungwiza Hospital polling centre in Zengeza East were high and this is why ZEC had put the polling centre at the health institution," the presiding officer for the centre, Peter Makechemu, said.

By 08:09 am at least 55 people had voted while two had been turned away because they had presented themselves in the wrong ward. One of the people had to be taken to his correct ward after he had refused to vacate the polling centre without getting any assistance. Jomic observers had passed through.

The ZEC officer verifying names of potential voters in the voters' roll had a candle on her table because it was dark in the tent but the queue was moving fast.

The queue outside the tent was short
