“Voting will end at 7pm and all polling stations which started after 7am will compensate for that time. Anybody in the queue by 7pm will be allowed to cast their vote and ending time might prolong until they are cleared,” she said

Kazembe dismissed reports by some sectors of the media that voting has been extended to midnight.

“Some sections of the media have misinterpreted the law by saying that voting will end at midnight. If a polling station opened at 12 noon then what it means they will have to close at 12am,” she said.

“Where some polling stations in which they could have stopped voting due to shortage of material then they will have to compensate for that lost time,” said Kazembe.
