The march will be in memory of their colleague, Isabel Masuka, who was murdered by her husband in Harare on April 19, 2014.
The husband confessed to the murder before taking his life a few days later.
“We have organised the march to express our disgust and send a message to the world as women that gender based violence has no space in the modern world,” said the WUA Vice Chancellor, Hope Sadza.
Speaking at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the university and Parliament in Harare today, Sadza called on parliamentarians and members of the public to come out in their numbers and support the march.
The protestors will march from Africa Unity Square around 9am to the university’s Mt Pleasant campus.
Minister of Women Affairs, Gender and Community Development, Oppah Muchinguri, will address the marchers at the campus.
Over 20 civic organisations are expected be participate in the march.
Cases of domestic violence are on the increase in Zimbabwe, some of them ending in the loss of life.
