The motive for the attack has not been established but Zanu (PF) thugs around the country have used violence as a tactic to drive white farmers off their land since the fast-track land “reform” programme was started by the Zanu (PF) government in 2000.

A number of commercial farmers and their workers have been murdered in politically-motivated acts of terror since then.

The Commercial Farmers Union has scheduled a press conference for Friday at which it says it will issue a statement on the ongoing situation of Agriculture in Zimbabwe and to discuss the way forward.
