It is unthinkable that we Zimbabweans have left our destiny to be determined by an incompetent Mugabe and his Zanu (PF) crooks. So we must resist this together. We have to come out of this situation where we are at the mercy of Zanu (PF).
The ruling party has proved to be as heartless as Boko Haram. It has kidnapped and taken ransom the whole nation with no signs of letting up. Through unemployment, poverty, poor service delivery and unfettered government corruption and through ballot system failure, war has been declared on us citizens by the Zanu (PF) government. We must fight it on the streets through peaceful protests. The new constitution provides for this.
Though the ZPF government treats the new constitution as a mere toilet paper, we can use it to achieve our end – which is total freedom. I believe in a Zimbabwe with small effective governments without a Chombo to control or limit their effectiveness. Small governments more directly in contact in with the people and more keenly attuned to their needs will work wonders because of their participatory approach to development and problem solving.
This is why Jonathan Moyo controls information. If people know much they may speak, if they speak, the government may change. Tobaiwa Mudede does not register people to vote, if they vote, the government may change. ZEC doesn’t allow all people to vote, if all people vote, the government may be changed. Chihuri prohibits people to protest through fierce, cruel riot police. If people protest, the government may change.
The demise of Zimbabwe lay in when people were strangled of information by the power hungry Robert and Zanu (PF). Any subsequent regime that wants to be successful should do just the opposite. Turn all the lights on. Transparency and more accountability. Only then will success be achieved.
But now the real enemies of state have clearly unmasked themselves by hindering press freedom. The real enemies of state are those who cannot stand our freedom because they want to continue to rule. – Zhanda, Mutare
