It therefore transpires that I cannot accept this post because although I was born in Zimbabwe, I now have to apply for a work permit – or rather my potential employer does.
I now have to apply for jobs in Zambia and Tanzania. It’s not only me that is affected in this way, but hundreds of others who want to return home and invest their energies in the land they, too, were born in, but this red tape is suffocating any progress. Who knows how long it will take for the Dual Citizenship Law to be passed through Parliament?
Having surrendered my passport and my ID together with all relevant documents, (I even have a Permanent Residence Visa which now expires in December), this leaves me with nothing.
The many acquaintances I have accumulated here in the diaspora over 14 years are now planning to visit me elsewhere; I am heartbroken as my family still live in Zimbabwe and my grandchildren were all so excited to think I would be home soon, for once and for all times. – Novafrancis, by email

You can not move Zimbabwe to achieve anything unless its counter productive so forget and smile of helping them by investing after all they about to tax even the street vendor lol
