Perhaps they were aiming for yellow and they ended up with orange regalia because the T-shirt manufacturer added a little too much dye. Yellow would have suited them more; too yellow to take the fight to Robert Mugabe so they turn on their own.
Despite this fashion statement, the Biti faction has announced that it has expelled Morgan Tsvangirai from the red MDC. The immediate question that one asks is why are they still involved with MDC-T business if they are orange and separate from the red faction? Biti’s actions are similar to those of a jilted lover who kills his ex because ‘if I can’t have you then nobody else will.’ If Biti cannot be part of MDC-T then the next best thing, in his mind, is to ruin the party before he moves on.
