Ziliwaco leaders are alleged to have defied protocol and side-stepped leadership in inviting her invited her as their guest speaker.
The party’s provincial secretary for administration, Kenneth Saruchera, accused Ziliwaco leaders of “doing party business without consulting us”.
But the association’s provincial chair, Angeline Muponda, shot back: “We are a Zanu (PF) affiliate organisation and we act as their watchdog. Their allegations are crazy, they are joking.”
A provincial executive member who requested not to be named explained: “They are trying to paint a picture that we are not in support of the move that Grac) ascends to the top position as chair of the Women’s League.”
