Following claims by Grace at a recent rally that she rejected the bribe offered by “some whites” Commercial Farmers Union president Charles Taffs told The Zimbabwean “Farmers do not have the kind of money that the first lady claims.”

“White people came to me with $10 million to stop the land reform and I said to them don’t ever come back to me. I chucked them out of my office and almost spat at their faces,” she said.

Rejoice Ngwenya, a respected political analyst, described Grace’s statement as a “product of her imagination”. “Grace is trying to build a political base by whatever means,” he added.

Observers said Grace had no new ideas and would play her husband’s recycled hate politics against the whites to realise her dreams.
