
Club trustee Tendai Mahachi said they had written to Bayern Munich asking them to extend the twinning relationship to football and were expecting a response from the Bundersliga champions soon.
Under the relationship, the club wants to send players for attachment to the German club and also seek to have their players and club visit Zimbabwe at one time or another.
Harare City have been in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League for the past two years but have enjoyed mixed fortunes. In 2013, the team finished third on the league table behind Dynamos and Highlanders, but spent a greater part of last season fighting relegation.
The club recently has unveiled a new technical team for the 2015 soccer season with former Caps United coach Taurayi Mangwiro taking over from Dinyero. Mike Madzivanyika and Mkuphali Masuku have been appointed the club’s assistant coaches.
