Happison Muchechetere (former Chief Executive Officer) Allan Chiweshe (former General Radio Services) Elliot Kasu (former General Manager Finance) and the Tarzan Mandizvidza (former General Manager TV, News and Current Affairs) were suspended pending investigations and disciplinary hearing on corruption allegations.
The four are accused of giving themselves hefty salaries and benefits from 2009 to 2013.
A source close to the investigations told TheZimbabwean that investigations to the case leading to prosecution were at an advanced stage.
“Progress has been made in the case and if all the evidence has been compiled and synthesized by the end of January we might see the accused persons being summoned to the courts of law, “said the highly placed source,"We are going to take every information seriously and everyone involved is going to face the wrath of the law".
The four are yet to appear before a hearing tribunal which was set by Government last month.
The suspended Head of Finance Ralph Nyambudzi will also appear before the disciplinary committee.
The four over the past five years were said to be giving themselves loans and built luxurious houses in the leafy suburbs of Harare.
They also bought themselves top of range vehicles and high profile cell phones and electrical gadgets.
At one point Muchechetere defended the actions saying that his management deserved such gadgets like latest phones and generators because ‘they monitor news bulletins at their homes in case of power cuts’.
Meanwhile the acting Head Finance and Corporate Services Patrick Mavhura is the acting chief executive officer with Chris Chivinge acting as the company’s general manager news and current affairs.
