Zambezi News saw an eventful 2014 after starring on the emmy-nominated Late Night News on DSTV, performing at Bush Fire Festival Swaziland and then going to Hollywood in November that year. Season 3 of Zambezi News consists of six 26 minute episodes and ushers the show in to its fourth year of production.
The show is known to hold no punches and the new season deals with hot topics such as corruption, land reform, indigenization and race. “It’s a really great new season where we experiment with different formats and introduce new characters,” says Executive Producer, Comrade Fatso “It was also an honour working with legendary comedians like John Vlismas and Kagiso Lediga as well as a host of amazing Zimbabwean artists like Ba Shupi, Tehn Diamond and Q the Boss.”
After the launch the new season will be available for viewing in February on the Zambezi News website, Youtube, Facebook, Whatsapp and on DVD. The full season will be physically available on DVD and on sale across the country at outlets to be announced soon. The break through comedy series has had audiences Zimbabwe and abroad in stitches since 2011 featuring Michael K, Comrade Fatso and Outspoken. It is produced by Magamba Network, the producers of the Shoko Festival Comedy night.
