
A US embassy statement on Thursday said the two, Shannon Smith, the deputy assistant secretary for African affairs and Steven Feldstein, the deputy assistant secretary in the bureau of democracy, human rights and abor, would be meeting embassy staff as well as representatives of government, business, and civil society organisations.
The US has acknowledged its commitment to improving the socio-economic situation in Zimbabwe.
It has channeled millions of dollars into humanitarian work and projects designed to improve democratic performance of the country.
