MUTARE - A strong earthquake rocked northern Mozambiq

The quake, the region’s largest in a century, centred about 160 km (100 miles) southwest of Beira. Terrified Mutare residents said houses and apartment buildings were jolted but not damaged, while many Harare residents felt significant tremors and heard a loud explosion. Experts say the region could expect more tremors as subterranean damage had been caused.
