$300m deal signed with Russia

HARARE - The Zimbabwe government signed deals worth $300m this week with the Russian conglomerate Rusaviatrade for a range of large-scale projects, including a major upgrade of Harare airport.

or improvements in the electricity network, a rail link between Harare and the outlying suburb of Chitungwiza and a new runway for cargo planes at the international airport.
The cash-strapped government of President Robert Mugabe has been looking eastwards for new business partners since being boycotted by the United States and European Union over allegations of rights abuses. – ZimOnline
