Hitschman was arrested earlier this year together with six others, including Giles Mutsekwa, the Movement for Democratic Change Mutare North MP, for allegedly possessing weapons of war. The other six were acquitted by the courts but Hitschman remained in custody after it was ruled that he had a case to answer. – Own correspondent
