are living in fear of elephants.

Villagers interviewed said elephants, which probably escaped from nearby game reserves, posed a danger to their lives.

A young man from Chenjiri said he saw a herd of elephants in the area recently. Another resident said that elephants were roaming around in Jompani Communal area including Muzvezve Resettlement Scheme. The villagers have asked the National Parks and Wildlife Management Authority to look into the problem, fearful that if the situation is not monitored they could lose their crops in the coming season.
