Tourist poisoned in robbery (01-03-07)

MASVINGO - A Czech Republic tourist was allegedly poisoned in the company of a prostitute, so that he can be robbed of foreign currency.
The tourist, who arrived on 13 February and was on his way to see the great monuments, met the women (who pretended to be holidaying Zamb

ians) and they offered to assist him.
They booked a room at Paw-Paw lodge for a night where the Czech was given poisoned water and began to feel dizzy and drowsy
He went outside and was saved by the quick intervention of Good Samaritan who saw him lying under a tree and suspected he was dead.
The Samaritan reported the case to the police, who rushed the man to hospital. The tourist left the province in stable condition.
Police confirmed the incident and are looking for the suspects.
