Vivid Gwede, Kurai Hoyi and Samson Nxumalo have each been handed 1 year
suspensions after they were found guilty by a kangaroo court that set
on the
23rd of May 2007.
Clever Bere SRC President, Mehluli Dube, Themba Mapenduka, Vanencio
Jachi
and Samson Nxumalo, who was convicted of one charge are the remaining
five
activists to appear before the Students’ displinary hearing penciled on
the
7th of August.
The charges, which are frivolous and vexatious are just meant to
victimise
those seen to be against the state and also to destabilise the
students’
movement. we howver remain resolute and commited to continue fighting
for
this just and legitimate cause.
